Kiln Drying Services in Bakersfield
Properly Dried Lumber Starts Here
Kiln drying is one of the most critical steps in preparing wood for use in furniture, cabinetry and construction.
Without it, lumber retains excess moisture that leads to warping, cracking and instability over time.
Our controlled kiln drying process slowly draws moisture out of each slab, bringing it down to the optimal range for indoor use. We monitor temperature and moisture levels throughout the cycle to ensure every piece comes out stable, clean and ready for your project.

Our Process
From Forest to Furniture
Every piece of wood in our shop started as a standing tree. We manage every step of the journey in house, from sourcing and milling to drying and surfacing, so the lumber that reaches your project is properly conditioned, carefully inspected and ready to build with.
Sourcing the Wood
We rescue trees from local trimmers, utility companies, farmers and homeowners, evaluating each log for species, size and potential before hauling it back to our yard.
Milling & Air Drying
Each log is slabbed into thick cuts and restacked with spacers for airflow. The slabs are tagged in our inventory system and left to air dry naturally for up to three years.
Kiln Drying & Inspection
Once moisture drops to around 20%, the slabs move into our kiln to reach furniture-grade levels while eliminating bugs and fungi. Every piece is scanned for moisture pockets before moving on.
Surfacing & Inventory
Dried slabs are run through our flattening machine to reveal the natural grain and create a clean surface, then photographed, cataloged and added to our inventory.
